About us

The Joint Research Network Elfriede Jelinek is an innovative union of scholars and artists of the University of Vienna and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna and consists of different groupings.

The team of the Joint Research Network Elfriede Jelinek, where young scientists from the University of Vienna and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna come together, devises and coordinates activities. It is responsible for central, contextual and organizational concerns and supervises the information centre and the international network. Together with the members of the Joint Research Platform, the team generates research work, plans events and compiles publications. Further, the team is responsible for the teaching and promotion of aspiring scientists and artists.

One objective of the Joint Research Platform is to encourage a dialogue between the University of Vienna and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna. Therefore, experts from both the University of Vienna and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna are associated with the Joint Research Platform. As members of the Joint Research Platform, these experts contribute to scientific-artistic research projects, offer counsel, support the interdisciplinary projects, research debates and establish contacts - within the university and internationally.

The Joint Research Platform has International Scientific Partners - a group compiled of experts from international science and arts universities. They are central contacts and support the activities of the Joint Research Platform, contributing to research debates and projects, also in the form of cooperations.

Students who undertake internships at our Research Network and thereby support us in our activities are also part of the Joint Research Platform.

The central cooperation partner of the Joint Research Platform is the Elfriede Jelinek Research Centre, established in 2004.
